The head of the noble House Klavis who takes over the power of his deceased father and leads all members of Klavis. His influence and leadership are second only to Hertzfeldt. House Klavis and Leonhardt's House Raglen were rival factions. Consequently, he has a strong feeling of competition with Leonhardt. The fact his sword skill is equivalent to Leo's despite their age difference escalates this feeling. The downfall of House Raglan was plotted by Melchior and his late father. The removal of House Raglan, who was in charge of Gridamas army and opposed the Klavis's plan to invade Frontier, was seen to be necessary for House Klavis. The conflict between Leonhardt and Melchior was similar to the conflict between the two houses. He's ambitious and never hesitates to shed blood for Hertzfeldt and his country. More people support him rather then criticize him for the way he respects chivalry, national politics, and his ability in military administration.
